چکیده

Let Fk be the family of graphs G such that all sufficiently large k-connected claw-free graphs which contain no induced copies of G are subpancyclic. We show that for every k≥3 the family F1k is infinite and make the first step toward the complete characterization of the family F3. 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Matching Integral Graphs of Small Order

In this paper, we study matching integral graphs of small order. A graph is called matching integral if the zeros of its matching polynomial are all integers. Matching integral graphs were first studied by Akbari, Khalashi, etc. They characterized all traceable graphs which are matching integral. They studied matching integral regular graphs. Furthermore, it has been shown that there is no matc...

On 3-connected hamiltonian line graphs

Thomassen conjectured that every 4-connected line graph is hamiltonian. It has been proved that every 4-connected line graph of a claw-free graph, or an almost claw-free graph, or a quasi-claw-free graph, is hamiltonian. In 1998, Ainouche et al. [2] introduced the class of DCT graphs, which properly contains both the almost claw-free graphs and the quasi-claw-free graphs. Recently, Broersma and...

On hamiltonicity of P 3-dominated graphs

We introduce a new class of graphs which we call P3-dominated graphs. This class properly contains all quasi-claw-free graphs, and hence all claw-free graphs. Let G be a 2-connected P3-dominated graph. We prove that G is hamiltonian if α(G) ≤ κ(G), with two exceptions: K2,3 and K1,1,3. We also prove that G is hamiltonian if G is 3-connected and |V (G)| ≤ 5δ(G) − 5. These results extend known re...

Forbidden induced subgraphs for star-free graphs

Let H be a family of connected graphs. A graph G is said to be H-free if G is H-free for every graph H in H. In [1] it was pointed that there is a family of connected graphs H not containing any induced subgraph of the claw having the property that the set of H-free connected graphs containing a claw is finite, provided also that those graphs have minimum degree at least two and maximum degree ...

Double-critical graph conjecture for claw-free graphs

A connected graph G with chromatic number t is double-critical if G − x − y is (t − 2)-colorable for each edge xy ∈ E(G). The complete graphs are the only known examples of double-critical graphs. A long-standing conjecture of Erdős and Lovász from 1966, which is referred to as the Double-critical Graph Conjecture, states that there are no other double-critical graphs, i.e., if a graph G with c...
